Lawyer and writer.
I was a public defender in New Orleans for a decade, serving as General Counsel to the Orleans Public Defenders and Executive Director of the Louisiana Center for Children’s Rights, the city’s public defender for children.
In 2018, I became Special Counsel for Civil Rights to the Connecticut Attorney General. Then, as the State of Connecticut’s Solicitor General from 2022-2024, I led a team representing the state in complex cases in the federal and state appellate courts.
Now I’m in private practice, as a partner with the litigation boutique Perry Law.
I live in New Haven with my wife and three children.
